Kanye's Outburst

By now everyone has seen or atleast heard about rappers Kenye West's outburst at the MTV video music awards a few nights ago. His actions have been labeled as "rude" and "not needed". His actions of taking the microphone from Taylor Swift, the winner for best female music video, just so he could voice his own opinion about who "should" have won was completely unexpected. Last night he was featured on Jay Leno and now many writers are woundering if it is due to his emotional buildup, mainly on his mothers death. Why did Kanye do this? Was he really disspoointed by the winner or was it just his emotions speaking? Regardless, we do now know that he is indeed sorry for his actions. After all how can you have an awards show without some exciting drama to make the next days news headlines?

  1. So I have a couple of opinions. FIrst of all I think that he never should've done it. Even if it was an outburst of his feelings and he didn't mean it, there are many other people who probably think that another award wasn't given to the right person. And secondly, I think other people are making such a big deal about it. Yes it might have been rude, yes he might be sorry but why spend all this attention and effort to publicize it when there are many other things that we should be worry about. Don't get me wrong I am glad you wrote about it and this is fine but why should it be the only thing that the media is talking about?

  2. You do not ruin someones moment after winning an award. People voted for her. She earned that. And now he is blaming it on the fact that "that's how things happen where I'm from". That's not right. He is promoting a negative view on blacks in the ghetto. He should speak for himself and not put blame in areas that there shouldn't be blame.
